Orthodontics for Working Adults
The Treatment Adults Actually Agree To
Invisalign in Indianapolis, IN is clear aligner treatment: a sequence of custom, removable trays that move your teeth gradually, mapped out from a digital scan before the first tray is made. You wear each tray, change to the next on schedule, and come into our Virginia Ave office periodically so we can confirm everything is tracking to plan.
Most adults who walk into this office have known their teeth bothered them for years. What stopped them was rarely the money and almost never the discomfort. It was the picture in their head of standing in front of a room, or across a table from a client, with a mouth full of metal for the next eighteen months.
Clear aligners remove that objection, and they are honest about what they are: far less conspicuous than fixed braces, not literally invisible. For a lawyer on Market Street, a server on Mass Ave, a teacher, or anyone whose job is mostly talking to people, that difference is usually what turns a someday into a start date.
The office sits at 435 Virginia Ave in Fletcher Place, on the stretch of the Indianapolis Cultural Trail that runs between the downtown core and Fountain Square, which makes it one of the few dental offices in the city you can reasonably reach on foot from work. More on how we approach Invisalign across all seven Bloom Dental locations.
What Actually Happens
From First Scan to Final Retainer
The whole sequence, in order, with nothing glossed over.
Consultation and digital scan
We look at the bite and take a digital scan, then ask what is actually bothering you. Cosmetic concern about the front teeth and a bite that is grinding enamel away are different problems with different plans.
The plan, in writing
Projected movement, tray count, timeline and cost with your verified insurance benefit applied, before you agree to anything. Nothing about the figure changes after you say yes.
Wearing the trays
Aligners have to be in for the great majority of the day. They come out to eat and to brush, which for a downtown schedule means a habit around client lunches and coffee. This is the biggest factor in finishing on time.
Progress checks
You come in periodically so we can confirm the teeth are moving where the plan predicted. Teeth do not always cooperate on schedule, and catching a lagging tooth early is far cheaper than finding it at the end.
Retainers
Teeth drift back if nothing holds them. Retainers are how the result survives rather than an upsell at the end. We fit yours when active treatment finishes and say exactly how much wear it needs.
When braces are the better answer
Clear aligners do not suit every case. Some rotations and bite corrections are handled better with fixed braces. If yours is one of them we will say so at the consultation rather than start you down a road that will not get you there.
Why This Office
Six Reasons Indianapolis Patients Choose Bloom Dental for Invisalign
You can walk here from work
Virginia Ave in Fletcher Place, on the Cultural Trail between downtown and Fountain Square. Few dental offices in Indianapolis make a lunch hour appointment genuinely practical.
Founder-led office
Dr. Brandt Finney started Bloom Dental in 2019 and is the practice’s clinical director. Dentists own and run this group, so treatment decisions sit with the doctor, not an operator.
Fewer appointments to book
No wire tightening means progress checks instead of monthly adjustments. On a downtown calendar, the appointment you do not have to schedule is worth as much as the one you do.
Digital planning in house
Digital scanning, CBCT imaging and digital smile design shared across all seven offices, so the plan comes from real data rather than an impression tray and an estimate.
A second opinion built in
Our dentists review cases together across locations every week, so a case with a complication in it is seen by more than one doctor before the plan is finalized.
A route if you are uninsured
Contract and self-employed work is common downtown and often comes without dental cover. We take most major carriers, and there is a Bloom Dental membership program if you have none.

Insurance, Membership and What Treatment Will Cost
Bloom Dental accepts most major carriers, including Delta Dental, Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, DentaQuest and AlwaysCare. Many plans treat clear aligners as an orthodontic benefit, which usually pays a share of treatment rather than all of it. We verify your specific benefit before treatment starts, so the number you are quoted is the number you pay. Contract and self-employed patients without dental coverage should ask about the membership program.
Common Questions
Invisalign Questions from Downtown Indianapolis Patients
Will anyone notice I am wearing aligners at work?
This is the question that brings most downtown professionals in. Clear aligners are far less conspicuous than fixed metal braces, which is why adults who present to clients, teach, present in meetings or work front of house tend to choose them. They are not literally invisible and we will not claim otherwise. If being unnoticed at work is your main reason for treating, say so at the consultation so we can be straight with you about what your specific case will look like.
How much does Invisalign cost in Indianapolis, IN?
It depends on how far the teeth need to move and how many trays the plan calls for, so no honest office quotes a figure before looking. At the consultation on Virginia Ave we scan your teeth, build the plan, and give you the cost in writing with your verified insurance benefit already applied. If you have no dental coverage, ask about the Bloom Dental membership program.
Can I fit appointments around a downtown work schedule?
Clear aligners need fewer chair visits than fixed braces, because there is no wire to tighten. You change trays yourself on the schedule we set and come in periodically for a progress check. The office is on Virginia Ave in Fletcher Place, a short walk or ride from the downtown core along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, which makes a lunch hour appointment realistic in a way a suburban office does not.
Where do I park at the Virginia Ave office?
We are at 435 Virginia Ave, Unit 1800, in the Fletcher Place area just southeast of the downtown core. Call the office at 317-854-3772 before your first visit and the team will tell you exactly where to park and how to find the entrance. Downtown parking is worth sorting out once rather than circling the block on the day.
How long does clear aligner treatment take?
Most cases run between six months and two years. The range is that wide because the tray count depends on how much movement your bite actually needs, and correcting the way the back teeth meet takes considerably longer than straightening a few front teeth. You get an estimated timeline at the consultation, before you commit to anything.
Will my dental insurance cover Invisalign?
Many plans cover clear aligners under an orthodontic benefit, which usually pays a share rather than the whole treatment, and some apply a lifetime maximum. Bloom Dental accepts most major carriers including Delta Dental, Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, DentaQuest and AlwaysCare. We verify your specific benefit before treatment begins.
What happens after treatment ends?
You move into retainers, and this part is not optional. Teeth drift back toward where they started if nothing holds them, which is the most common reason people are unhappy years after finishing orthodontic work. We fit the retainer at the end of active treatment and tell you plainly how much wear it needs to keep the result.
